USFUGC – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is USFUGC?

USFUGC (Umbrella Special Forces Unit® Gaming Community) is a multi‑game gaming community supporting everything from the ArmA series and tactical shooters to cozy and casual games like Stardew Valley.

Our mission is to bring together like‑minded people, build genuine connections, and grow together in a safe, respectful, and stable environment. Whether you enjoy structured team gameplay, relaxed co‑op sessions, or simply socializing around shared interests, USFUGC is designed to support all playstyles—without pressure, toxicity, or elitism.

What games does USFUGC support?

USFUGC supports a wide range of games across multiple genres, from tactical and immersive experiences to cozy and casual titles.

Rather than locking ourselves into a single game, we grow organically based on member interest and long‑term sustainability.

Our full and up‑to‑date game list is available here

If it’s cooperative, community‑friendly, or brings people together, there’s a good chance it belongs here.

Who can join USFUGC?

Anyone who:

  • Is 16+ years old
  • Respects others
  • Values teamwork over ego
  • Is okay with both structured and relaxed playstyles

We are veteran‑friendly, civilian‑friendly, and beginner‑friendly.

Is USFUGC inclusive?

Yes—fully.

We are intentionally built to avoid:

  • Toxic competitiveness
  • Discrimination or harassment
  • Gatekeeping based on skill, background, or identity

If you can be respectful, you belong here.

Do you use Discord?

Yes—but with a specific purpose.

USFUGC maintains a Discord server primarily for transparency and public visibility, allowing potential members and the wider community to see who we are and how we operate.

Most core community systems are internally hosted, including:

  • Forums
  • Dashboard chat
  • TeamSpeak 3
  • Community portals and tools

All internal systems are encrypted both in transit and at rest, giving members a more secure and stable environment than relying entirely on third‑party platforms.

How active do I need to be?

Real life always comes first.

USFUGC requires a minimum of 2 hours of community activity within the 30 day period. This keeps the community healthy while remaining realistic for members with work, school, family, or health responsibilities.

If you need to step away for longer periods, we provide a Leave of Absence (LoA) form so members can take breaks without penalty. Communication is all we ask—life happens, and we respect that.

Is there a rank structure?

Yes—but it exists for organization, not authority flexing.

Ranks reflect:

  • Community trust
  • Contribution
  • Leadership responsibility

They are earned over time, not rushed.

Can I be part of leadership?

Yes—eventually.

Leadership is:

  • Earned through consistency
  • Built on trust
  • Focused on service to members

We do not promote based on popularity or pressure.

Is there an application process?

Yes.

New members start as Applicants and move forward naturally. The process exists to protect the community—not to exclude people.

Does USFUGC charge membership fees?

No mandatory fees.

Optional donations may support servers and infrastructure, but pay‑to‑play will never exist here.

What makes USFUGC different from other communities?

Long‑term stability over fast growth

Community safety over hype

Structure without control

Fun without chaos

We are built to last—not to burn out.

How do I get started?

Once accepted, you’ll receive access to:

  • The community portal
  • Forums and onboarding materials
  • Game‑specific info and schedules

From there, just jump in at your own pace.
